Getting started

Hoverpad lives in your menu bar, not the Dock. Click the note icon at the top of your screen to find your notes, layouts and settings. To see the welcome tour again, choose Welcome Tour… from that menu.

Keyboard shortcuts

These work from any app, even in fullscreen.

Inside a note: ⌘B bold, ⌘I italic, ⌘U underline, ⌘⇧L checklist, ⌘+ and ⌘− text size, ⌘D duplicate.

Common questions

My notes disappeared

Press ⌃⌥H. You may have hidden them. If a note is linked to an app (it shows a small app icon), it only appears while that app is in front. Deleted notes can be restored from Recently Deleted in the menu bar for 30 days.

Pinning the screen doesn't work

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording, turn on Hoverpad, then quit and reopen it.

My notes don't sync between Macs

Check that each Mac is signed in to the same iCloud account and that Sync with iCloud is on in Hoverpad's menu on both. Changes usually appear within seconds. Where each note sits on screen is kept separately on each Mac.

A note still shows when I share my screen

Check that Hide from Screen Sharing is on for that note (you'll see an eye icon in its top bar), or turn on Hide All Notes from Screen Sharing in the menu bar. Most video‑call apps respect this, but a few capture tools don't, so test before an important call.

Restoring Hoverpad Pro

Choose Restore Purchases in Hoverpad's menu bar, signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you bought it with.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
