Multi-page sticky notes for Mac
Every Hoverpad note is a pad. Turn its pages with a curled corner, give each page its own colour, tear one off as a note of its own, or set the whole note to peel away on a timer. It all floats above your other windows.
Turn the page
The bottom-right corner of every note is curled up, like the corner of a sticky pad. Click it and the page lifts away to show the next one. On the last page it adds a new page, which starts in the same colour as the one before. ⌥-click, or the ‹ in the page bar, goes back, and ⌘] and ⌘[ do the same from the keyboard. The page bar shows where you are, such as 2 / 4, and has a + that adds a page when you are on the last one.
Give every page its own colour
Hover the colour dot to change the colour of the page you are on. The other pages keep theirs, so a trip checklist can be yellow, the packing list mint and the restaurant list pink. The curled corner shows the colour of the next page underneath it.
Tear a page off
Drag the curled corner out and let go, and the page tears away from the pad and becomes a note of its own, in the same colour and typeface. You can also choose Tear Off Page from the A menu, under Pages. A torn-off page counts as a note, so the free limit of three notes applies.
Delete or rearrange pages
Hover a note and click the red bin at the left of the page bar to delete the page you are on. Hoverpad asks first if the page has writing on it, and a note always keeps at least one page. The A menu, under Pages, also has Move Page Left and Move Page Right.
Let a note peel itself away
Hover a note and click the timer button at the right of the tools row, or choose Peel Away from the A menu. Pick 10 minutes, 1 hour, tomorrow at 9:00, or any time you like. A small countdown appears beside the A dot, and in the last ten minutes the curled corner slowly grows. When the time is up the note peels off your screen from its bottom-right corner to the top-left, moves to Recently Deleted where you can restore it for 30 days, and Hoverpad sends a notification. Good for a parking meter, a call you must not miss or a note that should not hang around.
From Shortcuts and Siri
Hoverpad adds actions to the Shortcuts app, Spotlight and Siri: Add Note, Add Page to Note, Tear Off Page and Set Peel-Away Timer. Build them into your own shortcuts, for example to start a meeting note with a page for each agenda item.
Still floating above everything
A pad is still a Hoverpad note: it stays on top of every app, including fullscreen apps, can be hidden from screen sharing, and syncs through your own private iCloud if you turn that on.
Free and Pro
Free Hoverpad holds up to three notes with up to five pages each, and includes the page curl, page colours, tear-off sheets, peel-away timers and Shortcuts actions. Hoverpad Pro is a one-time purchase ($9.99 in US dollars; the App Store shows your local price) that removes the limits on notes and pages and adds iCloud sync, pinned screen areas, notes for one app, Touch ID lock, layouts, edge dock, fonts and image sharing. There is no subscription.
